Several of the world's most elusive and least studied hammerhead shark species are found in the Colombian Pacific. These species are critically endangered due to overfishing and limited knowledge of their habits.

 

Diego and Alejandra, along with several fishermen from the region, have dedicated more than four years to studying the Sphyrna corona, aiming to unravel this animal's mysteries and develop an effective conservation project tailored to its needs, without clashing with the fisherman's needs. This project, in turn, will generate new opportunities for the people of the region.
