Corals are some of the most incredible organisms on the planet. These animals come in a variety of colors, textures, sizes, and locations. The health of corals is an indicator of the conservation status of the ecosystems they inhabit, as they are home to a wide variety of organisms around the world. This makes them extremely important for the well-being of marine ecosystems. All coral species exhibit amazing textures and colors that are difficult to observe on the surface. Photographing them up close, I obtained images that seemed otherworldly, which gave rise to the series "Marine Galaxies": a collection of different corals portrayed in such a way that they resemble landscapes foreign to our planet.
